Ben Tellin | Investing Experience

Ben started saving in 2017 while in college, with little experience. His approach to investing was based around age-old axioms around diversification and risk. Ben started out learning how to invest in stocks for the long-term. This included individual stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds where he could utilize his accounting background through fundamental analysis of publicly available financials. About a year later, Ben began to learn and understand the equity derivatives market, more specifically options markets. This began with basic long strategies, and has since evolved into a much more complex approach to the options market regarding risk management including spread trading and options writing to generate income. In 2020, Ben started trading in the futures markets to expand the available markets/instruments that could be utilized to meet investing objectives. The results have been very encouraging; the portfolio has had more than double the return of all major equity indices since inception.
